Community Spiritual Gathering & Potluck
(Please bring a tasty healthy dish to share

Sunday March 23rd, 6-9PM
Kabbalistic Roots of the Equinox
& The Celebration of
Purim
Songs, dance, & teachings will highlight this
special spiritual adventure as we take a deeper look
at how the balance of sunlight on the equinox serves
as a metaphor for spiritual and human balance.
According to Kabbalistic teachings all of humanity
and all of reality are interrelated. The heavens,
the cosmos and the earth and all they contain are
but manifestations of the oneness of G-d. The
teaching this evening will share the Judaic
tradition of reconciling the lunar and solar
calendars, & provide illustrations for
universal cosmic and human repair. The
joyous holiday of Purim which this year falls on the
day of the Equinox, contains unique rituals
and symbolism which shed great light on the
harmonious glow of the sun and moon. We
will relate the profound joy and meaning associated
with unified celestial cycle through mystic
teachings, spirited songs & heart warming stories.
The program falls on Sushan Purim, the day on the Hebrew calendar that
marks the finale of the Purim celebration.
Rabbi Intrator assisted, traveled, & studied with
Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach for many years. He then was

spirituality accessible to the contemporary
seeker.”

SHABBAT PROGRAM
FRIDAY NIGHT SERVICE COMES ALIVE....
Kabbalat Shabbat is ushered in by Rabbi Samuel
Intrator with a unique and melodious recitation of
the Shabbat Psalms. Carlebach melodies are
interspersed throughout the service. The high point
of the service is reached with a spirited Lecha Dodi
welcoming in the Shabbat Queen. The service is
further enhanced with spiritual commentaries and
inspiring stories that reveal the modern and deeper
meaning of the Shabbat prayers.
A FESTIVE MEAL
From the welcoming of the angels (Shalom Aleichem)
to the recitation of the Kiddush, and blessing of
the Motzi, Rabbi Intrator brings meaning and joy to
the traditional rituals of the Shabbat meal.
Employing a multi-media approach of stories, songs
and spiritual teachings, he feeds the soul in a way
that bridges the mystical with modern practicality.
SHABBAT MORNING SERVICE
The
musaf service begins as Rabbi Intrator dances with
the Torah through the crowd to the Ark. The
recitation of the prayer bridges a range of
cantorial like liturgy with congregational
participatory singing. After the service, Rabbi
Intrator switches from cantor to Rabbi and presents
a moving scholarly sermon showing contemporary
relevance to the ancient Biblical teachings of the
week’s Torah portion.
SATURDAY NIGHT: IT ALL COMES TOGETHER
Rabbi Intrator opens the evening with a candle lit
Havdalah service. He shows how the separation
between the Shabbat and the rest of the week are but
a part of the great whole in G-d’s creation.
Heartwarming Chasidic stories which reflect profound
insight into human character are told with
simplicity and charm. They are then analyzed from a
perspective of everyday application for today’s busy
lifestyle. Live music and dancing follow.
